I really enjoyed reader's theater and I hope all of the preschool children did too! I think it taught me how important it is to be organized. I think when dealing with children, the more organized you are in your planning, the more smoothly your activities will go. I also learned the importance of keeping the kids busy and not giving them too much idle time. When those kids got bored, they got restless and their behaviors got worse. I also was so proud of my group and learned how so many of us could come together and cooperate, not only for ourselves but for the rest of the group also. I really would love to try reader's theater with my class one day. What a great way to get kids involved in learning. Kids can get write scripts, make costumes, practice reading parts, etc. and all while learning valuable skills.
